Swimming with Stingrays
In the Cayman Islands, we went on a boat to "Stingray City." It's a sandbar out in the ocean where lots of stingrays gather (due to them being fed there for years). One interesting factoid was that beyond the sandbar, where the water turns dark (you can see it in the 4th picture), the sandbar drops off with the ocean suddenly becoming 6,000 feet deep at that point.
We fed the stringrays squid, and also got to pet them (they have very soft velvety-like skin under their wings).
